  • Acupuncture has a cumulative effect and treatments are best applied in a series of 6-12 individual sessions at a frequency of 1-2 times per week.

  • Herbal medicine seeks to improve the body’s underlying pattern and addresses chief complaints. Herbal supplements are often prescribed with acupuncture to address the patterns of disharmony, or root cause.

  • Manual therapy, Cupping and Bodywork techniques are utilized to support the acupuncture treatment. These additional techniques address specific areas like shoulder, neck, back etc., for improving range of motion and reducing pain.

  • Functional Lab testing provides further insight into the body's unique landscape and address the root cause of complex health conditions, hormone dysregulation, and chronic gut conditions.

How does acupuncture work?

Acupuncture points are specific areas on the body, just beyond the surface of the skin. These points have high concentrations of nerve endings, mast cells, lymphatic vessels and capillaries. Acupuncture points are selected to help to regulate the various feedback loops in the body which turn on homeostasis; the body’s automatic ability to re-set, repair and heal.
